Omnia Canada Terms of Service
1. Service Scope & Triggers
- Activation: Snow removal services are automatically dispatched for every snowfall that is over two inches of snow.
- Timeline: All designated areas will be cleared within 24 hours after a snow storm has finished.
- Coverage: Your flat monthly rate includes comprehensive snow clearing for all the specific areas outlined in your customized property plan.
- Exclusions: For safety and efficiency, we do not remove snow from decks, patios, or the alley.
2. Property & Obstacle Guidelines
- Parked Vehicles: If a vehicle is parked in the driveway during service, our crews will safely clear the snow around it. We cannot return to clear the vehicle’s footprint once it is moved until the next snow event.
- Vehicle Traffic and Hard-Packed Snow: We strongly recommend that customers avoid driving on freshly fallen snow before our crews arrive, whenever possible. Vehicle tires compress snow into hard-packed ice that standard snow removal equipment cannot safely scrape away without damaging the driveway. If snow in your driveway has been driven over prior to our arrival, our crews will scrape the surface as safely as possible and apply ice melt, but we cannot guarantee clearing down to bare pavement in these tire tracks.
- Hazards: Customers must keep the designated service areas free of extension cords, hoses, toys, and debris to prevent damage to our equipment and your property.
3. Billing & Cancellations
- No Contracts: We do not believe in locking people into a snow removal contract. Services are strictly billed on a month-to-month basis so you have the freedom to choose where your money goes each month.
- Flat Rate: You pay one price no matter how much it snows so that you can stay warm this winter.
- Cancellations: Customers may cancel their service at any time. To avoid being charged for the upcoming month, you must provide 48 Hour notice prior to your next billing cycle. Mid-month cancellations will not be refunded, and service will continue until the end of the current billing period.
4. Communication, Liability & Ice Management
- Notifications: We will notify you on what day we are heading out to do your snow removal, as well as when we are finished.
- Insurance: Our business has general liability covering up to a million dollars.
- Freeze-Thaw and Environmental Hazards: Omnia Canada provides snow clearing and ice melting services triggered by specific weather events. We do not provide 24/7 continuous monitoring of properties. Calgary experiences frequent “Chinooks” and freeze-thaw cycles where melting snow can pool and quickly refreeze into ice between our scheduled visits. Omnia Canada is not responsible or liable for any slips, falls, injuries, or damages resulting from naturally forming ice, drifting snow, or freeze-thaw cycles that occur after our crew has completed their service. Homeowners assume all liability for the safety of their premises between our scheduled visits.
- Ice Melt Policy: While we strive to clear all surfaces down to bare pavement, extreme temperatures or vehicle traffic may result in hard-packed snow or ice. In these instances, our crews will scrape as safely as possible and apply ice melt. Immediate melting is not guaranteed and depends on weather conditions.
